Ather Rizta on road price: Bengaluru-based electric vehicle manufacturer Ather Energy has announced it will increase the price of its popular family electric scooter Rizta. It has been informed by the company that from January 1, 2025, the price of the scooter will be increased by Rs 4,000 to Rs 6,000.
Ather Rizta on road price
The Rizta scooter is available in the Indian market with 3 variants and 7 color options. Its current price ranges from Rs 1.10 lakh to Rs 1.47 lakh (ex-showroom). This scooter gives tough competition to electric scooters like the TVS iQube and Ola S1 Air in its segment.
Why is the price increasing?
This increase in prices is being done due to rising costs and new features in the EV sector. However, before the price increase, customers are also getting attractive offers on booking scooters on the e-commerce website Flipkart.
The biggest feature of the Ather Rizta is its huge storage space of 56 liters. This feature makes it the first e-scooter in India to have such a large boot space. It has a boot space of 34 liters under the seat. Apart from this, the company has also added a 22-liter ‘frunk’ on the front apron, which increases the total storage space of the scooter to 56 liters.
Performance and battery options
The Ather Rizta has the same 4.3 kW motor that is used in the Ather 450X. It has two battery pack options, including 2.9 kWh and 3.7 kWh battery packs, which have a range of 123 km and 160 km on a full charge, respectively. If we talk about charging time, it takes 6 hours 40 minutes to fully charge the 2.9 kWh battery, while it takes only 4 hours 30 minutes to fully charge the 3.7 kWh battery.
